FAQ

A: The lobby is open 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Closed on Federal Holidays. There is a button outside the lobby door that can be used during closed hours to get assistance.

• Appointments are made same day as visits. First come, first served. Those that live in another county or state may call 931-879-8142 at 8am (no sooner) morning of visitation day (proof with valid DL with correct address).
• Inmate may have visit after 7 day from book-ins. Inmates transferred from other jail or facility will be able to have visit next visitation day.
• Everyone 18 yrs. and older must fill out visitation form and show ID before can make visit.
• When making visit you must let us know everyone that is going to visit (up to 4) at the time appointment is made. NO visitor can be added after appointment set.
• If you make a visit and are unable to make it, please call to cancel. Not showing up will result in no future visits.
• Children (17 & under) may visit with a registered adult family member. No registration required for minors. Please keep small children quite or take out to lobby, so as not to interfere with other people’s visit.

A: WHEN BRINGING AN INMATE ITEMS: ALL NEW AND UNOPENED ( IF THERE IS MORE THAN 3 IN A PACK WE WILL GIVE YOU BACK THE EXTRAS): 3 WHITE T-SHIRTS, 3 WHITE SOCKS, 3 PAIRS OF WHITE UNDERWEAR, 1 WHITE TOWEL, 1 WHITE WASHCLOTH, AND 1 SET OF WHITE OR OFF WHITE THERMALS. THESE ITEMS ARE TO BE BROUGHT IN AT ONE TIME AND ONE TIME ONLY!!!!

  •  YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A PHOTO ID AND SIGNATURE.
  •  ITEMS WILL BE SEARCHED. YOU ARE NOT TO LEAVE UNTIL ITEMS ARE SEARCHED. IF CONTRABAND IS FOUND, YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED!!!

A: We do not give out warrant/summons/civil paper information over the phone. If one is wanting information about a possible warrant/summons/civil paper they can come to the Sheriffs Office and ask if they have a warrant/Summons/Civil paper.

Basic Rules and Requirements:

 

  • All visitors must be prepared to show a state-issued ID upon arrival at the jail for onsite visits and must also be prepared to present ID to the camera if requested to do so for remote visits.
  • Visitors must be at least 18 years old to conduct visits without an adult present.
  • The scheduled visit is for the designated inmate ONLY. If other inmates participate in the visit, it will be terminated.
  • The use or display of illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia will result in the visit being terminated.
  • Do not operate a motor vehicle while conducting a remote visit.
  • All remote visitors must be in clear view of the camera.
  • For security purposes you may not stream, record, or take screenshots of video visits.
  • Any nudity, sexual behavior, and/or displaying inappropriate images/video will result in visit termination and the account may be blocked.
  • The dress code is the same for both remote and onsite visits:
    • No revealing and/or see-through clothing
    • No tank tops, camisoles, cut-off shirts, or sports bras – you must wear a shirt that covers your shoulders and entire torso
    • No skirts/shorts above mid-thigh
    • No clothing that displays obscene or offensive images/words

 

  • The success of your remote visit is dependent on your equipment and speed. Unsuccessful visits due to your equipment/speed will not be credited. Contact iWebVisit at 775-434-8748 for assistance with testing.

The letter must have the inmates name and a valid return name and address. The letter should be on plain paper written in black or blue ink. Any coloring or drawings will not be given to the inmate. If letter is suspected of having drugs it is subject to testing. Inmates are given only a copy of the letter and not the original. We do not accept any greeting cards or prints of any kind.
