From the Desk of
J. Michael Cross County Executive
We are very proud that Fentress County celebrates Veteran’s Day in so many ways and venues. From York Institute to Clarkrange High School to our American Legion to the York Foundation and Sgt. Alvin C. York’s Memorial Park, Fentress County Veteran’s had ample opportunities to participate and share in several ceremonies to celebrate their sacrifice and service on behalf of our country. We thank you all.
Bids to build a security fence surrounding the Emergency Communications Tower in Clarkrange have been opened. The Fentress County Commission will award the winning bid at the November 21st, 2016 county commission meeting. Within the next couple of months, the tower and security fence should be completed, offering a much improved signal for emergency services within Fentress County. We appreciate the continued support and patience throughout the county as this important transition was made.
